Please tell me that I am not the only one to get excited over new art supplies!
We bought a brand new box of sidewalk chalk at the store today! Since it was such a large box, we divided it up and I am saving half to replenish our chalk stash later in the summer. We have a slate walkway to our front door, and it is wonderful for drawing with chalk... so much more satisfying than regular concrete or blacktop!
I am looking forward to going through all of our outside toys and tidying up a bit. We have a lovely hideaway for the little ones in the backyard that will be the perfect spot for their little picnic table and sandbox once it is cleaned up. I think that it was the previous owner's impromptu potting area and so it is quite messy. I think it would also be a great spot for a mud pie kitchen! We'll see what happens. We're reaching the end of the construction road and I am looking forward to that all being done so that we can focus on settling into this house a bit more.

What lovely pictures! I need to get some new sidewalk chalk too. I don't have the patience to make it. :P
This looks like really beautiful art chalk -- where did you come across it? My girls love to make chalk cities in the driveway -- houses, public buildings, roads, street signs. But we've never seen such an array of colors as this.
That's really nice! I love the pictures too! Thinking of you!
It is Crayola Sidewalk chalk. We found it in the crayon section at Target! I believe that there are 52 sticks inside.
Thanks! I'll have to check it out.
We did find it at Target, and used some to draw a rainforest in the driveway Sunday. Thanks again.
