Gray Squirrel Poem

Swish your bushy tail
Gray Squirrel, Gray Squirrel
Swish your bushy tail

Wrinkle up your funny nose
Put a nut between your toes

Gray Squirrel, Gray Squirrel
Swish your bushy tail!

***
The Squirrel

Anonymous

Whisky, frisky,
Hippity hop;
Up he goes
To the tree top!

Whirly, twirly,
Round and round,
Down he scampers
To the ground.

Furly, curly
What a tail!
Tall as a feather
Broad as a sail!

Where's his supper?
In the shell,
Snappity, crackity,
Out it fell.

I remember Victoria saying that little poem at Montessori 14 years ago *SNIFF*
Reagan found the coolest acorn shell the other w/ the acorn stil in it, the shell was all flayed out like a nest, I'll have to take a pic of it and who knows, maybe even blog it :)

Isn't that funny -- my girls learned that poem at Thanksgiving as "Fat turkey, fat turkey, shake your feathery tail. Fat turkey, fat turkey, shake your feathery tail. Wrinkle up your little beak, tuck it down between your feet. (one girl said feak, because it had to rhyme with beak!!) Fat turkey, fat turkey, shake your feathery tail." They shook their tails and tucked their heads. It was very cute.
