Friday's Feminine Tip: Pretty Pajamas...

.:Floral Rose Nightgown:.
To be perfectly honest with you, I am very guilty of throwing on a pair of yoga pants and a tee shirt when it is time to go to bed. Obviously, stretchy clothes are very comfortable to sleep in, but they are certainly not feminine! I love looking at sleepwear websites for inspiration and around this time for year I start to want to revamp my pajama drawer.

.:Bridal Gown:.
There are quite a few options for pretty pajamas and nightgowns out there. One place that I can often find nice things is Target. I have found that they often carry sleepwear that is feminine, reasonably priced, comfortable, and easy to care for. April Cornell, Victorian Classics, and Amolia Mae are also all retailers that have beautiful pieces in their sleepwear collections.

.:Music Ladies Pajamas:.
Spring, summer, and fall are the perfect seasons to refresh your sleepwear wardrobe. Crisp cottons and soft knits in gorgeous colors and prints are readily available and are also so nice to sleep in as the nights get warmer. Take some time this week to look through your pajamas so that the next time you spot a pretty nightgown or pajama set, you can add it to your wardrobe.

I"m sitting here in my yoga capris and tee shirt...agreeing with you. :)

This may be my next mission after breaking the black habit.

Funny, I was thinking same thing. My jammies are downright ratty.

Oh this made me smile. I just wore my pjs to paint our children's rooms in. My husband prefers the Marilyn Monroe option when it comes to nightwear (Chanel no5 - lol - he even bought me a bottle.) I want to find a pretty robe to keep by the bed, because after a few years of co-sleeping the kids are having their own rooms and I can wear what I like to bed again. Oh happy day.

One thing my husband is fairly adamant about is that I don't make it a habit to go to bed in old sweats and t-shirts. He also understands the need for comfort. (And no, I'm not saying he dictates my wardrobe, but it is nice for a husband to curl up next to a wife who doesn't look like a slob, even at night.) We often shop ebay for vintage sleepwear. I am amazed at how nice it truly is to go to bed in something feminine and pretty.

I have a major addiction to pretty nightwear! I love looking at April Cornell's things - so lovely.

I'm also a yoga pant/t shirt sleeper - I find that nightgowns and pjs ride up, and bunch around and I find that uncomfortable.

I have recently started wearing nightgowns to bed. My husband likes it because I used to steal his boxers :)
