Boys...

So we have a climber on our hands and nothing that we do has stopped him from clamoring onto the chairs and then onto the kitchen table. Many spilled and broken things and a bloody nose later, Papa took matters into his own hands! Our chairs are lassoed to the table and now no one is shrieking for someone to get down and no one is getting hurt! It's a win-win situation for everyone... until it's time to eat!

Let it to the hubby to figure something like this out. Nicely done.

I'm definitely filing this idea until it's needed!

I love it!!! Isn't it so much fun when your child transmogrifies into a mountain goat overnight??

Joseph now goes to sit in his book basket, to then stand up in it, to then clamber his way up unto the couch. I saw him use things as a stepstool to higher things from an early age, so I have put the chairs far away from the table. They are too heavy for him to scoot closer.

This is very funny. What can I say - we got to do what we got to do! or else we will go crazy!

Oh my goodness! With a 19-month-old who has just started climbing everything, this made me laugh so much!

Thankfully, our dining chairs are too heavy for our little boy to move, or we'd have the same "problem" on our hands!

Great idea! Our little climber has never taken much interest in the kitchen table, but my little sister sure did, when she was small. My parents would have to place the chairs atop the table to keep L from climbing Mt. Dining Table.

I need to come up with some creative solution like that. Recently my husband came home to find that I had piled all the stools and the trash can on the table. At least what you have looks better than that! :-)
