Saturday's Feminine Tip...

Carve a little time out during your week to pursue something creative (writing, photography, arts and crafts, handwork, cooking, flower arranging, gardening, decoration, etc.!).

With all the painting my little one has been doing, my fingers have been itching to pick up a brush. I finally bought an inexpensive box of pan watercolors (Crayola 8 count to be exact) and spent a few minutes several afternoons this week painting. I mainly worked on some little things for the books I've been making our daughter to help her speech (the one pictured is her new market booklet), but I'm gearing up for some bigger projects. I'd also like to work on crocheting (I'm waiting for my mom to visit so I can get some one-on-one help with that!) and some felt wee folk making.

What are you going to do?

That is so adorable. Did you draw it yourself or use a stamp? Please share!

I might work on a drawing, but I'll defintiely work on the wedding sampler for my best friend.

Hi Gina!

I drew it myself with pencil first, outlined it in pen and then colored it in with watercolors.

Emma,

Your watercolour painting is wonderful!

We're leaving for holidays this week and I am taking stuff with to learn to crochet. I am determined to finally figure it out!

Have a blessed weekend!

my creative-ness is mainly put into my blog and my gratitude journal.

I just checked out that very same book earlier today and am thinking about buying it for Victoria.
I am itching to start crocheting but don't even know where to start, think your Mom would give some lessons ? ;-)
In the meantime I am taking a break from sewing for the store and other people and concentrating on Little Miss's upcoming B'day, tonight I made her a top, I still need to make matching ruffled pants, the other items on my list are to make her a full apron, an art tote for all of her supplies, a new library book tote and then party favors for her guests next week. Thank goodness my machine is now fixed ;-)

I scrap or papercraft.

I cook artfully?

Actually - I'm going to go through my sons' school artwork and pic a few to frame.

Hey there! Cute painting! I love the idea of painting little "books" for my girls.

Yesterday I painted a picture for my cousin's wedding. I'd like to do more of that this week!
