thanks for posting these. I watched the whole thing over a few days last week while my youngest napped! what a treat!
I have to admit that, having seen both, I prefer the 1995 version to the newer one. But the newer is more faithful to the book in certain ways. Thanks,Elizabeth
I will have to check this version out, although I too have the earlier Emma Thompson version in my movie Library, I play it all the time now, even for background noise. I have found that the Jane Austin films are just great family togetherness with my 12 year old daughter, she loves them too, and cant wait until she can read the books(she struggles a lil bit in reading comp).
Thank you for posting the link to this! One of my friends has been talking about it, so I felt like I was missing out... I may have to draw an empire-waist gown for my paperdoll in celebration, I haven't done one for a while.
Hello Emma, I recently found your blog and having been loving your unique and uplifting posts. Oh, I loved watching these movies in the last two weekends. It was a wonderful break from my schoolwork. I almost think I like this version better than the 1995 version, but it's a hard choice.
